Hercules’ 13th Labor-Poem

I was expected to hold up the sky,

Stay waist-deep, buried in the earth,

And look like Adonis everyday.

You wanted a spectacle,

Sunny-eyed bright smile,

A jawline that framed a handsome grin

You had me run for miles

in 100 degree heat,

Build legs that never falter,

Arms that could carry you across a desert.

But it wasn’t enough.

And *that’s* how you killed me.
