Der Vampir- Poem

cburrow030791

You lay waiting for me,

A trap so intricately set

that I would rush into it- neck first

Beauty and eyes that entrance.

With a thrust of your magic,

what is meant to menace- hypnotizes

An ancient understanding

of how my heart beats.

Sadism that exsanguinates- take it

Your pointed widow’s peak

and jaws with an unholy luster

gravitate toward my jugular- bite me

Despair that darkens my soul.

An eternity of torment

with a truly violent man- please yes

I’m howling mad.

I’m doomed til death.

I’m in love with a monster.
