A Masochistic Damsel- Poem

Updated: Feb 19, 2023

Prince Charming climbed

this tower of despair

after you left.

His voice was as gentle

as an April drizzle

and his touch was velvet.

Never a harsh word or raised hand.

He kissed the bruises

until they disappeared.

He was unwaveringly charismatic,

intuitive, and good.

Handsome too.

And I could never love him for it.

So here I sit, waiting

in these four corners of despair.

for your return?
